Event: 2018 Bipawtisan March

September 24, 2018
This past Sunday a huge group pups and pup parents gathered in front of the Capitol Building in the pouring rain to march for animal-related issues. The Bipawtisan March, now in its second year, is a very DC event – we love a good march. :)
The team at We The Dogs DC are behind the March, which through its registration fee raises funds for local animal rescues. People marched to raise awareness for homeless pets, the end of puppy mills and bills such as the PAWS Act while others marched in unity against the partisan playground DC has come to represent. Whatever the reason, the event brought out DC's finest people and an amazing mix of dogs in raincoats.

After the rain-soaked March, we gathered at DC's dog-friendly Wunder Garden for Yappy Hour. The setting was perfect for our wet and hungry group – Local beers on tap, great food and lots of outdoor space for the pups to play.
If you were at the March and want to see the full set of my photos, check 'em out here!
Thanks to everyone who braved the weather to attend this great community building event! See you next year!
